Hope Plaza II is a newly constructed 21,238 square foot retail center located on a 3.12-acre site in Grimes, Iowa. Completed in 2022, the development sits along the heavily trafficked Highway 141, and is positioned just east of GrimesPlex, a 50-acre synthetic turf multi-sport complex. It is also part of the larger 200-acre Hope District, a mixed-use entertainment area currently under development that will feature retail, restaurants, and hotels. Designed to support both restaurant and retail tenants, Hope Plaza II contributes to the growing commercial landscape of Grimes.
CDA provided comprehensive civil engineering and site development services for this project. These services included conducting the topographic survey and preparing the demolition, grading, utility, and landscape plans. CDA also developed the erosion and sediment control plan, the easement plat, and final as-built drawings. In addition, our team prepared the SWPPP, SWMP, and secured necessary permits from the Iowa DOT and the DNR. Through detailed coordination and thoughtful design, CDA played a key role in supporting the successful delivery of this high-profile retail development.
