Iowa State University held a Ribbon Cutting for their newest residence hall on campus, Geoffroy Hall. Geoffroy Hall is an eight story building with 14 houses (784 beds). The main floor has over 15 study rooms, the hall desk, a lounge, an activity room and a kitchenette. The project was designed to LEED Gold standards and features an energy efficient mechanical system, water efficient plumbing fixtures, LED lighting, regional construction materials and low emitting materials to promote indoor air quality.
