Civil Design Advantage provides numerous services for Kum & Go, LC regarding site selection, site feasibility, planning, entitlement, design, and construction. Kum & Go Convenience Stores sites range from 1.5 acres to 5 acres in size. Typical improvements for a site include a 6,200-square-foot convenience store, customer parking, and a fuel canopy with 16 fueling locations. Depending on the site, a new store may also include a dedicated diesel fueling canopy for semis, trucks, trailers, or other large vehicles.
Careful consideration needs to be given when planning a new convenience store site. During the planning phase, turning movements are continuously analyzed not only for passenger vehicles and semi-truck customers but also for semis delivering product to the store or semis delivering fuel to the underground fuel tanks. It is imperative that the circulation of large semis or other large vehicles does not interrupt the flow of passenger vehicles, product delivery, or the overall operation of the business.
