CDA provided civil engineering and surveying services for the Otter Creek Sanitary Trunk Sewer Extension in Ankeny, Iowa. The project involved the extension of sanitary sewer infrastructure through an established corridor, including sanitary sewer plan and profile design and bid quantity documentation. A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) was developed to protect water quality and minimize disturbance to the Otter Creek corridor during construction. The design includes a creek crossing featuring a 24-inch reinforced concrete pipe with formed concrete encasement, steel interlocking sheet piling, and temporary stream diversion measures to manage flow and maintain channel integrity.
