The MidAmerican Energy Company RecPlex is a 300,000 SF multi-sport complex developed on a 62-acre site at 6500 Grand Avenue in West Des Moines, Iowa. Designed as a premier regional destination for athletes and the community, the facility features two indoor ice arenas, a full-size indoor turf field, multiple basketball and pickleball courts, batting cages, three outdoor turf fields, an E-Sports center, and a physical therapy center.
Civil Design Advantage provided comprehensive civil engineering services from master planning through final design, including construction documentation to support public bidding. CDA also supported the City with limited construction administration to help ensure timely delivery. The site design accounted for the complex’s diverse programming needs while addressing stormwater, grading, utilities, and overall site functionality across all phases of development.
