Tempo Apartments is a 7-story mixed-use residential development located on a 0.62-acre site at 317 E 6th Street in the heart of Des Moines’ East Village. The building includes 21,420 square feet of space and features a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartment units. In addition, it offers 4,000 square feet of commercial and office space on the ground level. Residents benefit from a variety of amenities, including an outdoor pool and sundeck on the second floor. The building also includes a dog park and spa area, bike storage, storage units, and a package delivery room.
Civil Design Advantage provided full civil engineering and site design services from project visioning through final documentation. Services included site concept development, topographic survey, demolition coordination, and a comprehensive civil design package covering grading, utility layout, stormwater facilities, erosion and sediment control, tree mitigation, and landscaping. Additionally, CDA also prepared detailed site plan drawings and a signage plan to support municipal approvals.
