Civil Design CAD Technician
Civil Design Advantage (CDA) is accepting applications for a full-time Civil Design CAD Technician. CDA is looking for a self-motivated, highly organized, and ambitious professional to play a key role in civil engineering design for projects of all kinds. Candidate will work directly with project managers, civil engineers, landscape architects, and design team members in a fast-paced, high-culture environment, providing civil engineering services for projects across the state of Iowa and within the Midwest, including a wide variety of public and private land development projects.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design team members to complete Civil 3D drafting tasks.
- Draft and prepare concepts and master plans.
- Roadway drafting and design.
- Site layout and geometric drafting and design.
- Site utility drafting and design.
- Grading drafting and design.
- Construction drawings and specification preparation.
- Detail design.
- Perform quality control review progress and final drawings.
- Preparation of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans.
- Assist with preparation of Cost Opinions.
- Potential for assistance with Construction Administration and Observation.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent is required.
- Strong organizational skills, with high level of attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Self-motivated, enjoys challenges, learning new things, and demonstrates reliability and professionalism.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is desirable.
