Traffic Engineer

Civil Design Advantage (CDA) is accepting applications for a full-time Traffic Engineer. CDA is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented professional. This role supports traffic engineering analysis and design. The candidate will work with project managers and design team members. Projects are located across Iowa and the Midwest, work includes public and private development and transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

• Traffic control plan development.
• Traffic sign, signal, and pavement marking design.
• Intersection layout and channelization design.
• Preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic engineering projects.
• Traffic impact studies for proposed developments.
• Accident data analysis and safety improvement recommendations.
• Inspection and documentation for installation of traffic signals and traffic control devices.
• Coordination with agencies, clients, and design teams on traffic-related project components.

Qualifications:

• Professional licensure in Iowa as a Civil Engineer (P.E.) is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and professional.
