On Friday, April 24th, Civil Design Advantage attended the groundbreaking ceremony for West Des Moines Fire & EMS Station 13, located at 1650 SE Maffitt Lake Road near Veterans Parkway. CDA is proud to be part of the project team, providing civil engineering and surveying services for the new facility.
Station 13 will be the first new fire station in West Des Moines in nearly 20 years and the first located south of the Raccoon River, a strategic addition that reflects the city’s continued growth and increasing demand for emergency services. The 15,288-square-foot facility will feature modern apparatus bays, advanced safety enhancements for firefighters and paramedics, and a flexible fitness space. The new station is expected to open in late 2027.
